Today, I wanted to reintroduce myself to new connections and take a moment to share why I embarked on this entrepreneurial journey. 👋
My career started in the golf industry, as I became a PGA Professional at the ripe age of 22. It was a great chapter, but it wasn’t enough, my heart was set on creating something of my own. So, I transitioned into sales, and that’s where the spark of entrepreneurship ignited.
In 2014, I took the plunge and started my first business. The journey was exhilarating and challenging, but we managed to grow it rapidly, leading to a successful sale in February 2017.
That taste of success ignited something within me.
In the summer of 2016, I teamed up with two of my best friends to open a homemade ice cream shop, and together, we’ve expanded to over 5 locations and continue to grow. This venture taught me the value of partnerships, teamwork, and the joy of seeing a vision come to life.
After the sale of my first company, I reinvested some of the proceeds into Hoppin’ and it’s been a wild ride ever since. We opened our first location in December 2017, followed by Pinhouse in August 2019, and another Hoppin’ in March 2020. The pandemic threw us a curveball, but we
pivoted and persevered.
Post-pandemic, my team and I set out on a new adventure, launching the franchise process for Hoppin’ in September 2022. We’re bringing a fresh approach to franchising a taproom/bar concept, and I’m excited to see it rapidly grow across the country.
Beyond the bar and restaurant scene, I also dabble in commercial real estate and invest in tech companies. But perhaps the endeavor I’m most proud of is the birth of my son, Nolan, in August
2023.
This has been my journey of entrepreneurship thus far. There have been many highs and many lows, but my eagerness to take risks and never fear failure has earned me a life of fulfillment and flexibility that most dream of. Carving my own path continues to fuel me, therefore my journey is far from over.
