Hoppin’ to It
The grand opening of Hoppin’ Fort Worth brought a lively, energetic atmosphere to the Foundry District this past weekend. The North Carolina-based self-pour taproom offers 58 taps featuring beer, wine, cocktails, and non-alcoholic options like kombucha and root beer. Customers use wristbands linked to their credit cards to serve themselves, paying by the ounce for a customizable experience.
Hoppin’s bright, modern interior contrasts with neighboring Blackland Distillery, featuring natural light, wood accents, and hops-themed decor. In addition to indoor taps, an outdoor patio offers 10 more. Though the bar doesn’t serve its own food, Hoppin’ partners with Maple Branch Brewery for wood-fired pizza delivery.
Guests enjoyed sampling brews from local Texas breweries like Maple Branch and Martin House, with popular choices including Real Ale’s Devil’s Backbone and (512) Pecan Porter. Hoppin’ limits consumption by locking taps after a set amount, ensuring a safe drinking environment. The fun, interactive atmosphere makes it a unique new spot in Fort Worth’s bar scene.
